Lady Gaga y Ariana Grande encabezan la lista de nominados de los VMA 2020

MTV reveló la lista de nominados para los Video Music Awards 2020 con Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish y The Weeknd encabezando la lista.

Los cuatro artistas fueron nominados para el video del año, la categoría más importantes de estos premios. Gaga y Grande por su video musical “Rain on Me”, Eilish por “Everything I Wanted” y The Weeknd por “Blinding Lights”.

Lady Gaga y Ariana Grande obtuvieron nueve nominaciones cada una, mientras que Billie Eilish y The Weeknd tuvieron seis.

MTV anunció las nominaciones de este año a través de la nota de voz de Twitter, lo que los convierte en el primer programa de premios en utilizar la función. 

También introdujeron dos nuevas categorías temáticas de cuarentena: el mejor video musical desde casa y el mejor rendimiento de la cuarentena.

“Estamos entusiasmados de presentar la increíble lista de nominados de los VMA que dieron forma al panorama musical único de este año y brindaron a los fanáticos un espectáculo que celebra la poderosa fuerza unificadora de la música”.

Las votaciones se encuentran abiertas en el sitio web y tendrán hasta el 23 de agosto para elegir a sus artistas favoritos.

La ceremonia de premiación se llevará a cabo de manera virtal el próximo 30 de agosto a las 9 de la noche por el canal de MTV México.
